Hopefully this heats things up a bit.

Breaking News: Premier Ewart Brown has ordered all Government vehicles with a BDA sticker on it be promptly removed. In related news LaVerne Furbert has put out an urgent call to all PLP supporters to do the same with their cars, bikes, helmets, shirts, T-Shirts, pants, panties, thongs and pets.

Sorry Mysty you're gonna have to get in line...

"That is politics ships...and as long as Govt. is pumping 30 million in the war chest...it will allways be in the mix...but hopefully more in the background...Hotty I'm jumping over intellectual fences. Yes a new political group lets call it The BDA...Bermuda Democratic Alliance. Formed with a list of the ten most pressing issues and outline their strategy to solve them....6 get elected...they hold the balance of power they moderate what ever major party wants to form Government...a part of that compromise would be dealing with their platform and agreeing action on certain key planks like affordable housing and crime and community centres ect. Anyway its a thought and political belief that has been at my core sometime---Greater political choice for the Electorate.

At least Owen Darrell (who's been pushing the Bermuda Democratic Alliance schtick in the Gazzette all summer) will feel  vindicated.

You do realise what this means right?  UBP Rebels ---> Bermuda Democratic Alliance?

They've just labelled themselves the Rebel Alliance!!!!    Battle

Take that Darth Ewart!!!

Ugh if only Mark Pettingill weren't in charge, I'd join for that alone lol

They still got a long way to go to shake off the 'NewBP' moniker though, good luck.

Meh.  Goes all ways.  The UBP will never not be the old white party, the PLP will never not be the self-serving crooks, and the BDA will never not be the NewBP.

May the best communication strategy win!

Yeah but what if they aren't all the things that you say above, but rather can galvanize people to usher in a new era of politics where the common Bermudian is the benefactor of a fair political system?  I think you might be suprised by today's event.  This much I can say....Shawn Crockwell is NOT the interrum leader, Gary has that wrong.

We can hope for nothing more.

As for their policies and agendas, it really is common sense. The island should not be in the state it is in. Even this board is full of good ideas. I hope they have the right balance of showmanship and charisma and level-headedness and honesty to really do some good here. I really do.
