Kudos to Bermuda MicroSystems and Dell

On Wednesday I returned home to discover that I could not restart my computer. I got in touch with Dell, and after a pleasant discussion on the matter with their representative (via their chat) it was decided that the motherboard had gone. As the laptop was bought in the States, it complicated the issue as it required an international order and dealing with the Latin America side. No problems dealing with them and they confirmed that a motherboard would be sent out and a local technician would get in touch. They advised 15-20 days for the whole process, and given the potential routing for the mail I had no choice but to wait.
I received an email on Thursday (the next day) to say the motherboard had been dispatched.
Today (Friday) I received a phone call from Bermuda MicroSystems to say the motherboard had arrived. I rushed in and dropped it off, hoping they would be able to get it fixed before the weekend. The Gods must be in my favour as 2hrs later they called to say they had completed the repair.
So 3 days total for Dell to diagnose the issue, send out the replacement parts and Bermuda Microsystems to replace.
All in all exceptional service i think.
